EYD/EYDM TYPE - SEALING FITTINGS
Conduit fittings are used for an electrical conduit system from the overhead service entrance to machinery, and final electrical outlets. Conduit fittings are generally installed by electricians at the site of installation of electrical equipment.
Conduit sealing fittings are installed in conduit runs to prevent the passage of gases, vapors or flames from one portion of the electrical installation to another through the conduit, limiting any explosion to the enclosure and preventing pre-compression or “pressure piling.”
